RYFCA Programs
Tackle football
Our tackle football program is unique to the City of Roswell and one that we are very proud of! While we play under the Cobb Football League (CFL) umbrella, we are not a direct high school feeder program. Based out of Roswell Area Park in West Roswell, it is open to all kids in 2nd-5th grade in the City of Roswell to register.
Safety is our main priority. Thanks to extensive fundraising in 2021, new helmets were purchased in the fall of 2021, and new shoulder pads were purchased for 2022 and beyond. Our volunteer coaches focus heavily on being a good teammate, having good sportsmanship and working together to win games!
Registration takes place over the spring/early summer prior to the fall season. 2nd and 3rd grades typically each have one team, while 4th and 5th grades are usually each split into two teams. Teams can fill up, so be sure to register early! Click here for City of Roswell registration info.
sideline cheerleading
WE HAVE SPIRIT, HOW ‘BOUT YOU? Our sideline cheerleaders are a vital part of our football program! Open to grades kindergarten-5th, our kindergarten and first grade squads are combined and cheer for our flag football teams. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th usually align with and cheer for their grade level tackle team.
The season kicks off with a fun mini-camp at Roswell Area Park. Chants and halftime routines are learned and new friendships are formed among squads. Our volunteer coaches focus heavily on good sportsmanship while teaching routines. Gymnastics skills are not required, but can come in handy!
Registration takes place over the spring prior to the fall season. The younger grades especially fill up fast, so keep an eye on our calendar for registration and other important dates. Click here for City of Roswell registration info.
